Message from the Black Alumni Council Board of Directors:

Greetings Distinguished Alumni,

On June 29th, the CofC Black Alumni Council (BAC) had its first ever general body meeting. During this important meeting, the Board of Directors discussed our BAC Two Year (2013-2015) Strategic Plan Overview which included a brief outline of our most important goals and objectives. The Board of Directors was formally introduced, and there was a special presentation by Debbie Counts, the College’s Director of Diversity Recruitment and Pre-College Programs. The Board also shared information about the events the BAC has participated in and upcoming events including the Black Alumni Weekend at the College of Charleston (BLAW) to be held in October. Additionally, we discussed membership and ways to communicate such as facebook, twitter, our webpage and email. Thank you to all who attended and we look forward to seeing many more of you at the next general body meeting.

*General body meetings are open to all Black Alumni of the College of Charleston. If you think membership or meeting information has not reached as many of that specific population as possible, please feel free to pass it on.

Black Alumni Council Board of Directors
