Summer Camps

The College of Charleston has many camps available during the summer, which is a great opportunity for your children to know your alma mater on their own!

Boys Basketball Camp

Session I, II and III
Camp is for boys ages 6 - 14. All sessions are divided into age groups. We are an introductory camp designed to teach campers basketball skills and activities. Campers will participate in skill activities and 5 on 5 games. Each camper receives a College of Charleston t-shirt and ball. Camp begins each day at 9 am and ends around 3:30 pm. Campers must be picked up by 4 pm. Early drop-off begins at 8 am. Lunch is provided. Camp Price: $275.

Girls Basketball Camp

Day Camp is an opportunity for girls ages 6 -17 to work and focus on the fundamentals while getting the attention that they need. Camp Staff will go over drills and stations daily that include passing, shooting, dribbling, rebounding and defense. Each camper will be placed on a team with other campers their age to play games and continue to work on the skills that were taught throughout the day. Fun activities and competitions will be played daily to give the campers opportunities to show what they have learned.

Day Camp: June 16-19, 2020
Who: Girls ages 6-17

Cost: $250 ($100 nonrefundable deposit)

Elite Camp is available to varsity level high school girls basketball players who want to continue to learn the game and elevate it to play at the college level. Camp will consist of skill work and games in which campers will be able to implement their previous skill work and showcase their abilities.

Elite Camp: June 20, 2020
Who: 8th-12th grade girls
When: 11 am - 3 pm
Location: TD Arena (301 Meeting St. Charleston, SC 29401)
Cost: $100 ($50 nonrefundable deposit)

Youth Baseball Camp

Send your son or daughter to The College of Charleston for our Youth Baseball Camp! Have fun and learn the basic fundamentals of baseball. Individual instruction will be given in hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching and running the bases. Top College and High School Coaches will be providing instruction throughout the week!

Softball Summer Camps

Summer Softball Camp Sessions: Dates TBD.

The College of Charleston Softball Camps are designed for players to develop their skills in all areas of the game of softball. The Cougar coaches and players will be on hand to demonstrate and instruct not only the basics but also more advanced areas of the game. 

Our camps range in ages and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you do not see a date that works for you at this time check back to the site as we add new sessions often. Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

Summer Sailing Programs

Youth Camps: Our youth sailing camps are designed to teach your child the basic fundamentals and introduce them to the amazing sport of sailing. The C of C sailing instructional staff will conduct teaching on the water aboard our brand new J/22 fixed keelboats.

These camps are for ages 8-14. At the C of C Sailing camp, your child will learn safety on the water, basic sailing principles, and proper boat handling skills. The staff and instructors are skilled and passionate sailors who will share their enthusiasm with all their students and will hope to encourage your child to pursue future camps and events here at C of C Sailing! Camps are held Monday-Friday from 9 am until 5 pm.
Dates: June 8-12, June 15-19, July 15-19, June 22-26, July 6-10, July 13-17, and July 20-24

STEM Youth Camps: Our STEM youth camps are geared to teach children the science, technology, engineering, and math behind sailing. The C of C sailing instructional staff follows a nationally recognized curriculum and partners with the college’s faculty to conduct hands on experiments. The sailing portion is done on our J/22 fixed keelboats. These camps are for ages 8-14. Camps are held Monday-Friday from 9 am till 5 pm.

Prices are currently $475 per camper for each five-day non-STEM session, and $500 for the two STEM-based sessions. A 10% discount is offered to all military personnel, as well as faculty and staff of the College. Use the code SMFS16 at checkout. Price will increase by 5% on March 1, and another 5% on April 1. Signups will close May 30 to accommodate waitlisted students.

STEAM Camps

Camp Art Attack
Camp Art Attack provides an arts-based educational program for rising kindergarten through sixth-grade students. The curriculum provides an excellent experience in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) education. Children stretch and explore ideas they find interesting as they explore playfully and embrace the opportunity to learn.  The cost of each session is $80 per camper.

Cougar Volleyball Camp

Join Head Coach Jason Kepner and staff for Cougar Volleyball Camps this summer! Full information on all camp options is available here.

TEAM CAMP - July 17-19 

Prices range from $260-$380.

Open to high school Varsity and JV teams in grades 9th-12th looking to prepare for the upcoming season. The first two days will be team development and competitive wash drills ending with a play date on the final day including all teams from team camp with the possibility of additional teams. A member of our camp staff will be assigned to each team. Room and board will be provided FREE of cost for 1 coach per team. Additional Coaches are $100 each.

Team Camp Daily Schedule includes morning and afternoon sessions comprised of skill training and wash drills. All meals will be provided at the Liberty Street Fresh Food Company. The evening session will be all scrimmages and game play. Including all teams from camp.

ELITE SKILLS CAMP - July 10-13

Commuter Camper ($295)
Open to girls entering grades 5-12. This camp is designed to work primarily on the fundamentals of volleyball in a challenging & fun environment. Excellent instruction given by college coaches & Division I players will help you master the basics & prepare for your school season. Dinner will be provided July 10. Lunch will be provided on July 11-12. Camp ends at 11:45 am on July 13th.

*Commuters will participate in 7 sessions over the course of the 4 days.

Overnight Camper ($425)
Open to girls entering grades 7-12. The extra night sessions allow for more skill training & competitive games. Check-out is 12:00pm-1:00pm following Camp Closing Ceremony.

*Overnight Campers will participate in 9 sessions over the course of the 4 days. Evening Sessions are for Overnight Campers only.
