Patty Ricketts Scarafile was chosen as the 2018 recipient of the Distinguished Alumna Award by the College of Charleston Alumni Association. She is the CEO and President of Carolina One Real Estate in Charleston and has been actively involved in the creation of the Collegiate Recovery Program at the College.

Skip Baker will be retiring December 31, 2018, from Generation Contracting and Emergency Services, Inc., located in Poway, CA.

Kenny Johnson is Vice President of Soil Consultants, Inc., in Charleston, SC. He was the 12th person in the world to be certified as a Concrete Quality Technical Manager by the American Concrete Institute.

Chris Peralta Thompson is Director for the Division of Remediation with Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation in Nashville, TN.

Sharon Brock Kingman received the 2018 Howard F. Rudd Jr. Business Person of the Year Award from the School of Business in November. She is a Technology and Marketing Consultant, past Chair of the College of Charleston Foundation Board, and currently serves on the School of Business Board of Governors. She and her husband, Rus, live in Clemson, SC.
Jorge Squier is Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain for GTM International. He earned his MBA in international business from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in 1981. He and his wife, Anne, live in Houston, TX.

Gary Thomas received the 2018 Pre-Medical Society's Outstanding Service Award in Medicine in November. He is an Oncologist on Hilton Head Island, and the immediate Past President of the South Carolina Oncology Society.
1985
Liz Boyer Caldwell was elected to the Broward County American Red Cross Board and also received Christie's International Real Estate Luxury Specialist 2018. Liz is an Estate Agent with Premier Estate Properties in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Karen Moore is a Senior Registered Client Service Representative for UBS Financial Services in New York City.

Heidi VanDerveer received the 2018 Alumna of the Year Award from the College of Charleston Alumni Association in November. She is the Head Women's Basketball Coach for the University of California San Diego. She was recently named California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Coach of the Year for the third consecutive year. She also was named the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division II District 8 Coach of the Year.

Sally Davis Schneider (MPA '92) is a Paraprofessional Autism Specialist with the Alexandria City Public Schools in Alexandria, VA. She and her husband, Bill, have two daughters, and the oldest is a freshman at the College of Charleston.

Betsy Barrineau has returned to Charleston and is working as a Paralegal for fellow CofC graduate, Natalie Parker Bluestein '87, at Bluestein & Douglas, LLC, a family law practice in Mount Pleasant.

Marty Viser is a Project Manager with Snyder's-Lance in Charlotte, NC. She recently joined the Charlotte CofC Alumni Club as Communications Chair and attended the Club Leaders Conference in Charleston during Fall Alumni Weekend.

Johnnie and Michelle Baxley were honored with the Alumni of Honor from the College of Charleston Alumni Association in November. The Baxleys have remained engaged in all aspects of the College through financial support of programs and scholarships and passionate support of student athletes and student organizations. Through their leadership, the student philanthropy group, Commited to Charleston (C2C), was founded.

Elizabeth Gore Meny earned her Juris Doctorate from City University of New York School of Law in May 2016 and has returned to the College of Charleston as the Associate Director of Admissions for Jewish Studies.

Molly Dennis Hamilton is the Assistant Director, Marketing and Communications for the College of Charleston Alumni Affairs Office. Molly and her husband, Trey, have two sons and live in Charleston, SC.

Rivers Pearce has been named the new Chief Operating Officer of STASH Storage, a company whose mission is to provide a better way for people to organize their lives through storage. He also serves on the College of Charleston Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Kathryn Bridge married Steven Angelo on June 16, 2018, and lives in Denver, CO.
Staci Dillard Koonce earned her MS in Youth Development Leadership from Clemson University in August 2018. She received the Graduate Student Excellence Award and is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Staci is an Academic Advisor with the College of Education at Clemson University.
