Pete Pillow of Irmo, SC, received a "Service Above Self Award" in recognition of his success as Public Image Chair of Columbia's Capital Rotary Club. He is a retired journalist and public information officer who joined Capital Rotary in 2006. In the past two-and-a-half years the club has distributed 170 news releases, had 12,000 website visitors, and reached 11,000 people through social media.

Mark Stenhouse has joined Exact Sciences Corporation in Madison, WI as President of its subsidiary, Cologuard. Cologuard is the only FDA-approved, noninvasive, DNA-based test for early detection of colorectal cancer. Mr. Stenhouse spent almost 30 years with Abbott Laboratories, most recently as Vice President.
Cindy McDougal Winston teaches biology and was selected as the 2017-2018 Campus Teacher of the Year at Agave Middle and High School in Tucson, AZ.

Jamie Tuttle has been named Dean of Students at the new international school, Avenues: The World School in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He will be on a leadership team which will open the first of 20 campuses across the world. Avenues is a worldwide system of private preK-12th grade schools which was founded in New York in 2012.

Ashle Cooper of North Augusta, SC, is Senior Athletic Trainer at Augusta University Sports Medicine. She earned her M.A.T in elementary education from South Carolina State University in 2003.

Chelsea Hylton of New Orleans, LA, has studied the effect of mindfulness and yoga on the quality of life for elementary school students and teachers, in collaboration with Tulane University. The group that participated in yoga and mindfulness activities had improved psychosocial and emotional quality-of-life scores. The results have been published by The Journal of Psychology Research and Behavior Management.
